We received a postcard from Long Tall Sally this week. It was clearly targeting customers that had not placed an order for a while, offering them 30% off online as well as free delivery and returns.
I thought it was particularly clever as it had a pull-out voucher on the bottom corner. We often get postcards and mailings like this but they always get lost – a nice idea to provide something to cut out and keep in your purse.
With the average revenue from a returning customer being three times higher than first time buyers and repeat shoppers spending seven times more than the typical shopper, Long Tall Sally have the right idea getting customers back to their website.
